    So much going on at the moment with Fiona and Reely Jiggered–impossible to get into the Studio here in Dunoon So off to the vaults to dust down and play a programme from November 2012 –just before Christmas when Fiona’s very special guest was Mary K Burke to be joined in the second half by “her of the famous Shoe Wear” the lovely Alison Mc Neill and her violin . Twenty years after her last visit to Dunoon for an album launch Mary returns to reminisce and a song or two accompanied by Alison.

  12. I had such a brilliant time with the howl Master himself, Basil Wolfrhine, at SchottenRadio in Germany!
    Co-presented three marvelous shows with him and can’t wait to post pictures to show you all what we got up to. Had such a laugh!
    I landed in Edinburgh yesterday and rushed over to make my own show “Celtic and Folk Fusions” at DCR! It was great to be back behind that DCR mic!

    Well I didn’t get the pleasure of hearing all of the Danny Kyle finalists this year. However I was able to see Rona Wilkie (winner – congratulations!) and Marit Fait at the Young Traditional Musician of the Year Final! They were absolutely phenomenal!

    The other fantastic finalists included –

    Katie Boyle (fiddle) Glasgow
    Kirsty Watt (song) Lewis
    Roisin Anne Hughes (fiddle) Glasgow
    Alistair Ogilvy (song) Strathblane
    Catriona Pryce (fiddle) Orkney.

    Definitely watch out for these six brilliant musicians; they’re a credit to Scotland!
