Coming up on tonights Friday Night Rocks……UFO, Karnivool, Mudvayne, Queensryche, Art of Dying, Grand Magus and the featured unsigned band is the suuuuuuperb The After Effect from Hungerford and loads of others.
Also tonight is the amazing American Swindle merchandise give away.
So lock the door, close the curtains, switch the phone off and turn that radio (or computer) up to 11 and lets blast our way into the weekend. Friday Night Rocks – 9pm to 11pm tonight!!!!!!
Tonights show is the second half of the Birthday extravaganza. The show will feature Mechanical Smile, Pettybone, Divided by Design and Gates who have been featured in the last year.
There will also be first plays for Omertah (a Ukranian instramental Djent band) and Tetrafusion (an American progressive metal band) as well as loads more top drawer rock, metal and prog.
As always requests are welcome and we will play what we can. To make good our promise to Casey from last week we will be kicking off with “Radar Love” by Golden Earing.

Well this Friday is Friday Night Rocks 1st Birthday and we are gonna have a PARTY that lasts 2 weeks!
For the next two weeks i am doing a retrospective of the last year and will be playing the most requested tracks during that time and revisiting all of the “feature bands” that i have been lucky enough to work with.
You can expect to hear more from A Good Day to Die, Touch of Severity, Art of Privilege, Johnny Wore Black, Dirty/Clean, Mechanical Smile, Gates, Devils Creek, Pettybone, We Came From Wolves and Divided by Design.
There will also be tracks from the likes of Seether, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Slipknot, Tool, Volbeat and many, many others…….

This Friday Night’s show features a Johnny Wore Black Exclusive!
As well as the excellent track “All the Rage” we will have three brand new tracks from the upcoming album.
Johnny himself also took the time to answer the questions that this nosey DJ had for him and you can also hear these and find out more about the band and their music this Friday between 9pm and 11pm.
We will also have the usual excellent mix of heavy rock and metal just for you! Dont miss it!!
Unfortunately due to the dreaded lurgy Des is unable to make it to the studios for a live show tonight. But never fear the powers that be will play a rerun of a show 1st broadcast last year so you will still get your weekly fix of rock and metal.

tomorrow nights show includes a showcase of Edinburgh based Grunge/Rock band Art of Privilege. They are an awesome mix of several rock genres and their love of grunge shines through as you will hear on the show. They have generously provided us with their Like Aviation EP and we will be playing it in its entirety Just for you.
Remember from the 4th November 2011 Friday Night Rocks will start at the earlier time of 9pm..
There is no truth in the rumour that this is to allow me to get my beauty sleep!!!!! As you can see from the photos an extra hours sleep won’t make any difference.

Alex – Glad you enjoyed A Good Day to Die, you were not alone if the feedback is anything to go by.
Victor will be playing 1 track from the EP each night next week between 5pm and 7pm. I will speak to Victor and see if he can specify a time in advance so you don’t miss it. If he can i will post it here for you.
Glad you enjoyed the Fish interview as well. We have had several requests for it to be repeated and i am pleased to say we discussed it last night and it will be repeated in the next couple of weeks. We are looking at the schedule just now to find an appropriate time and will let you know here as soon as a date and time is set. Chances are it will not be at the usual Friday Night Rocks time, but will be a special show in its own right….. I promise to give you as much notice as possible.

Guys, due to work commitments tonights Friday Night Rocks will be a rerun of a previous show. Sorry it won’t be live but i cannot get away from work i am afraid.
As next week is the Cowal Games i will also be working and next weeks show will also be a reun. However normal service will resume the following week with a fish special, including the pre recorded interview!

I am going to be showcasing an, as yet, unsigned Glasgow metal band, Touch of Severity. They are a very tight 5 piece band who, i am sure, we will be hearing more of in the future. Hear them first on Friday Night Rocks.
