REESE

I am doing work experience with Dunnon radio as part of my module for University in work related learning.
I graduated from college in Sound Engineering, & after a year out, & deciding how i wanted to progress.
I then returned to University to study Music Technology at the University of the West of Scotland (Piasley/ Ayr Campus). I also cover different aspects of filming- from recording, editing, sound design, & post production & I am in the final year of my studies.
In the work related learning I will develop & enhance the skills I have gained over the duration of my course, & put into practice area’s of law that cover broadcasting regulations, & further develop the practical aspects that the music industry would expect of  me in a work environment. Working with Dunoon radio has already presented me with some challenges & hopefully, the skills I aquire will enable me to develop confidence in the entertainment business.

I will be in with Rupert on his sunday night show 8-10pm. The DJ face-off is getting good, my apologies, as I announced the wrong DJ last week. This week I have definitely got it right.
DJ uni kk will be competing against Snoop Dog this week, his last week, so do tune in to urban music box to see if it will be three in a row or if he will be beaten.

HI every-one! This is my last week at Dunoon Radio as a trainee as my work experience comes to a close.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a very big thanks to ALL OF YOU, far too many too mention.
You gave me a very warm welcome, took me under your wing & showed me the ropes!
I can’t go without saying thank you to Victor & amp; Willie for agreeing to take me on ( oh if they knew eh!), but to Sarah, Trish,Simon, Rupert, & Luke who showed the various methods each use on their show, & for their patience. They were all very good.
Sarah your calm nature helped me through a few heart-stopping moments, & your sense of humour is infectious & it has been a great laugh & wonderful to work with you.

BUT,………..it is not going to be the end of the road, I am hoping to be in the studio with Sarah this coming Thursday, if not I will definitely be back the following week. I hope you will continue to listen in & you know how it is on the show by now if you do, it will be madness & mayhem as usual.

THANK YOU TO EVERY_ONE AT DUNOON RADIO for a great experience!

  14. reese says:

Hi! I will be back this week (22 march) with Sarah on the Good Afternoon show. Last week I was away recording a singer/ songwriter for my University course.I hope to have this young’s gentlemen’s CD to play in a few weeks, once we have completed the project. 15. INTERNATIONAL WOMAN'S DAY says:

International Women’s Day is about celebrating women’s achievements. My 2 guests for that day were Angie Smith & Suzie Tarkenter. Angie re-trained after studying in holistic therapy to become a forestry technician. It is a very skilled & physically demanding job. Angie’s qualifications enable her to operate equipment such as chainsaws (No easy task!). Her work is varied & being outdoors is something that she loves to do.
My other guest was Suzie Tarkenter who has had a cochlea implant. Suzie’s hearing loss was gradual, & she had hearing aids before. The cohlea implant is making a dramatic difference to Suzie’s life & to those around her. Her friends & family are wonderfully supportive of her, they encourage Suzie to use devices such as mobile phones (something most of us take for granted). The cochlea implant has enabled to Suzie gain an increase in confidence, social situations are less awkward as her hearing improves gradually. If you want to find out more about Suzie’s story you can follow the links below. We hope to have both Angie & Suzie on again & hear how Suzie gets on, & that any technological advances made will continue to improve those whose lives are affected by hearing loss.
Both of them are remarkable in their own right & their stories were fantastic to hear, & we had a lot of fun in the studio with them.
