Easter Poem
Betrayed by a friend to set us free
then nailed to a cross
for all to see
for sinners such as the likes of me
nailed to the cross
where his blood ran red
nailed to the cross
until he was dead
It is finished he cried with his final breath
this fulfilled what the prophets had said
Then he rose again like the good book said
for it was foretold he would rise from the dead
He had come to earth as a man
to fulfil the bibles plan
he came to save whoever repents
that’s why the son of god was sent

Hi there to all the DCR Gang, how are things? The live concert scene is really getting exciting in China at the moment as more and more big pop acts do shows here. Irish boyband Westlife is currently in China doing a nationwide tour which is part of it’s ‘Farewell World Tour’. Tomorrow the UK based pop opera group Il Divo will do a concert in Beijing, then on March 12 the Swedish pop rock duo Roxette will return to China for a number of shows. Spanish Opera star Jose Carerras hits Beijing on April 1 for a concert. On the Chinese pop music front, Chinese singing star Tiger Huang Xiao Hu will be teaming up with Xiao Huang Chi for a big concert in Hong Kong on March 11th, and one of China’s top folk singers Dao Lang hits Hong Kong for a big concert on March the 14th. On top of that The Jue Music & Arts Festival kicks off on March 9,2012

Treacherous Orchestra “Origins” CD of the week
You may have heard Victor and Ian Wilson talking about the Treacherous Orchestra and how they nearly brought the roof down at The Old Fruitmarket as part of Celtic Connections and that several members of the band –(there are eleven musicians in the band ) were also involved in playing at Celtic Connections with other Bands
They also talked about the album some two years in the making that was scheduled for release in early February and a planned launch at the ABC in Glasgow. The Album is called Origins and we have been playing it non –stop in the Studio for the last week and feel it’s so good we want to share it with you.

Hi Victor and the DCR Crew, greetings from sunny but chilly Beijing.
This weekend is kind of special for CRI aka China Radio International as the network is celebrating its 70th anniversary!!! We’ve already had a big celebratory Gala Night earlier this week and there are more grand celebrations planned for the coming days! If you’d like to visit CRI’s official website to checkout the festivities, here’s the address: http://english.cri.cn/
All the best
Hey Jerry…..it’s the squeeky wheel that will get things moving. Keep the momentum going. May take time but hang in there and make sure it lands on the ears of those who are in a position to help.
Let’s work out the math shall we? Dunoon population is around 8,200. Greenock population is around 45,000. If we had a sensible, frequent and reliable ‘late night’ ferry service, pubs, restaurants, businesses AND us local bands, would literally increase our potential customer base by five times. This would bring HUGE benefits to Dunoon businesses…come on folks, get with the programme. This is our town. Our livelihoods…OUR future! Fight for it!!
Jerry Hill
If YOU LIVE HERE OR JUST VISIT COWAL THIS COULD BE THE MOST IMPORTANT MEETING EVER
Ahead of the Meeting in the Queens Hall tomorrow 24th November at the Queens Hall to discuss the new ferry service why not listen again to the thoughts of the Council Leader Dick Walsh and Community Councillors Anne and Ronnie via our Listen again page on our website… here is the link..

Greetings from a rather chilly Beijing! The ski season is not too far away now, yeahh!!! During my last trip to Scotland I saw ‘The Average White Band’ live at the 02 in Glasgow, and I took a few photos which I posted onto my myspace page. If any of ur listeners would like to see them, here’s the link: http://www.myspace.com/djduggyday
All the best!
Seems to be a repeat of the show broadcast on 04-10-2011 that is getting aired just now, complete with teuchter music in the background…sorry about that folks,it’s out of my control.
Sorry Hillbilly Bob, seems we had a wee problem during your programme which we missed, we are of course investigating to what exactly happened to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
Sorry to the listeners who had to share HillBilly Bob’s programme with the teuchter background and to the teuchter listeners maybe, who had a country background DCR Admin
