LAST EVER UNDERGROUND BROADCAST WITH GREG GIRARD

knights of techno

All good things come to an end so they say! Well the time has come for me to finish up doing UnderGround BroadCast.

Over the last 6 months I have struggled trying to find the time and energy to fully commit to the show so rather than continue and not do my best I have decided to end on a 5 year high.

When we first got invited onto the then AIR radio station in Dunoon I knew that I wanted to start somthing that I woul be proud of. As I blagged my way onto promo lists and got lucky with some great DJ’s coming and speaking to me I knew I had something special.

Over the years I have seen loads of radio shows come online so in an ever saturated market it was always going to be hard to continue doing what we were doing without devoting more and more time which I unfortunately don’t have anymore.

I would like to thank all the listerners to the show, all the promo people behind the scenes and all the artists that continue to provide the music that keeps our techno community alive!

Finally I would to sincerely thank the managers at Fnoob Techno Radio who gave me a slot and for their support over the yeasrs. I wish you all the best for the future and know you continue to provide an excellent platform for techno music.

Stay Techno

Greg

A BIT OF LAND CAST

GAELIC CHOIR CEOLRAIDH FROM ARGENTINA SET SIGHTS ON 2018 DUNOON ROYAL NATIONAL MOD

CEOLRAIDH

Created in August 2002, the Argentine choir Ceòlraidh is the only choir in Latin America devoted exclusively to performing traditional Scottish songs in Gaelic.

Ceòlraidh have been invited to participate in the Royal National Mod to be held in Dunoon 12-20 October 2018. After 15 years sharing their music locally, they would love to be able  to travel to Dunoon compete in the Mod and share their music with us all.

CD-CEOLRAIDH

To travel from Argentina to Dunoon and to compete in the Royal National Mod is going to be very expensive, to help with the cost they are looking to see if any of the good folk of Cowal could possibly help by providing accommodation and help with local transport and in return they will be willing to sing at other venues or concerts out with the Mod activities

LYNN CARTER -ASTROLOGER

DSCN8006

On the first Wednesday of each month our resident Astrologer Lynn Carter  calls into the John Street Studio to tell us what she reads in the Star Events Chart — Each of us are born with an eclipse close to our date of birth. Here is one such eclipse meaning. ” Its energy is about large ambitious group projects. These will require a separation or the breaking of a bond that already exists. The individual may well experience the eclipse initially as a separation and then joint achievement” (Predictive Astrology. Brady) This eclipse belongs to Theresa May. The task to oversee Brexit has fallen to her. there is something far larger than ourselves at work here. We are all in the hands of the cosmos as each of our charts are activated.
