LOCAL POET TARIQ LATIF VISITS DCR97.4FM STUDIO
Margaret and Victor welcome Tariq Latif a local Poet on Thursday who will be at Book Point this Thursday evening to help celebrate Independent Book sellers as part of National Book Week.
Tariq has publish three Poetry books and will be reciting some of his work and signing books.
Tariq has live in Argyll for ten years and hails from Manchester although he was born in Pakistan. Tariq spends lot of his free time roaming the Scottish Highlands and writing occasional verse. He was the First Prize winner of the Daily Mail National Poetry Competition 2004, and his work has been featured on BBC2 television and BBC Radio 4.
His previous two Books , Skimming the Soul (1991) and The Minister’s Garden (1996) have been well recieved.
