Today is the day our BIG Brother Community Radio Station Celtic Music Radio launch their new 95FM broadcast service at 12.00pm
The Glasgow based Community Radio is promising a festival of music as it switches over to 95 FM transmission .
Celtic Music Radio will launch officially on 95 FM at 12 noon today, Tuesday 1st July when presenters Liz Clark and Gordon Hotchkiss will be in studio 1 with guests, long time favourites here at DCR97.4fm Skerryvore. They shall be helping to celebrate broadcasting on the FM waveband across Glasgow.
Live in studio 1 members of Skerryvore will be telling listeners all about their forthcoming album Chasing The Sun and perhaps exclusively play a track or two on high quality stereo 95 FM.
On air since January 2008 on 1530AM in the Glasgow area, Celtic Music Radio prides itself as a station with a mission to support new musical talent singers and songwriters and to be a strong voice for contemporary and traditional Scottish music, arts and culture.
It’s been a long time coming and no easy road with a lot of hard work put in by the dedicated volunteers at Celtic Music Radio who are now looking forward to boost their audience and further enhance their world class reputation as being the Best Celtic Music Radio Station anywhere.
The idea for Celtic Music Radio came about in 2003 and it took to January 2008 before the official launch on 1530AM .
Within two years Celtic Music Radio was providing a sustaining service and assistance to Dunoon Community Radio which enabled us to start broadcasting on 97.4fm 0n the 1st December 2009.
When we grow up we want to be just like them
