COWAL HIGHLAND GATHERING 2012

It doesn’t seem a year since we were packing up our stadium studio and here we are again on the first day of the 2012 Cowal Highland Gathering.  Today it was the Highland Dancing Scottish National Championship with dancers coming from right across Scotland to compete.  For results you can go to the Dancing Results Page .  We also had the welcome return of the Classic Cars with some old favourites being joined by some new cars and the sun was nice enough to come out and greet them into the stadium.   The day finished with the 5K run which was won by Stephen Trainer

Friday sees the pipers start to arrive for the solo piping competitions, the heavy athletics start, there is the primary school athletics and the dancing competitions continue with the Scottish Championship and the World Junior Championship.  So join us at Dunoon Community Radio for all the news and results.
