We are pleased to announce that after BT Engineers checked our internet line this afternoon we are again broadcasting out to Dunoon and the surrounding area.        Thank you for your paitence.

 Here are the happy first  DCR Quiz Trophy winners A well attended first DCR Quiz Nite has by first indications been  prounouncd a Success with many positive comments from those who took part.  A full report with all the  the news who won what, who bid highest for the cake and all the gossip very shortly –watch this space 

After many checks on equipment at our Transmitter site, BT have agreed to check the line which we feel is the cause of our problems. Unfortunately the earliest that engineers can attend is Monday morning, which means that we will not be broadcasting until at least Monday across the airwaves.

For our internet listeners, programmes will go out as normal through the Dunoon Observer and Argyllshire Standard Web Site as this uses a different system to the one used to broadcast on 97.4FM.

Of course as is the way, this has happened at the start of a very special weekend here at DCR, so we have taken the decision to postpone all competitions and guest spots that where happening in various programmes till a further date, so everyone can take part.

Everyone connected with DCR is very dejected by our misfortune and deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause our listeners and look forward to resuming normal broadcasting as soon as possible.

QUIZ NITE! WEEKEND

The Quiz Nite! at the Burgh Hall on Saturday night will be going ahead (at full steam!) so if you are missing us come along and enjoy yourself in the company of the DCR volunteers with fun and games. If you are not amongst the lucky ones who managed to be part of a team, you can still come and join in with the fun. Doors open at 7pm for a wee donation on the door.

The 15th of May is nearly here which means its nearly time for the DCR Quiz night in the Burgh Hall .  Apart from the Quiz there will be stand up bingo, a raffle, licensed bar, food and this wonderful cake which has been kindly donated by Blacks of Dunoon

To have a look at the cake just pop along  to Blacks in Argyll Street where it will be till the weekend. So if you want to try and win a piece of cake or just have a laugh don’t worry if your not in a team, just come along and watch the shenanigans with the presenters. All for a small donation on the door
