DCR SUPPORTS ‘IN THE PINK’ AT SINBADS
It was with great pleasure that the DCR Roadshow set up the
music machine on Friday the 31st upstairs at SINDBAD’S, providing music and PA for the ‘IN THE PINK’ fundraiser. The Ladies Only Pink Party was in aid of Breast Cancer Care and with a wonderful turn out, was at times practically standing room only.
FANCY IN THE PINK
Everyone attending wore items of pink and with it being Halloween there was no shortage of fancy dress.
Organiser and MC for the night Helen Smith was ably assisted by the fund raising team, who were kept very busy ensuring the night’s entertainment ran smoothly including several jokes by the MC herself.
TOP PRIZES
The DCR Roadshow Presenters had no problems keeping the ladies on the dance floor who were there to party, and party they did! The pace only slowing for winners, in the raffle or “stand up’ bingo, to collect prizes from the many wonderful gifts generously donated by the local business community.
GREAT APPLAUSE FOR GREAT RESULT
Although yet to be confirmed Helen announced to great applause at the end of the proceedings that along with other fundraisers including last weeks Table Top sale also held at SINBAD’S the total funds raised would exceed £2000.
BIG HEARTED SINBADS
As a footnote to the above we must mention the wonderful effort put in by customers and friends of the popular Sinbad’s in a recent fundraiser.
Two weeks ago Karen McOneghy the manager of Sinbad’s presented a cheque for £2,300 to the Yorkhill Children’s Fund. This was in memory of a young relative who had been a patient at Glasgow Yorkhill Hospital.
Funds had been raised from the sale of scratch cards, raffle tickets, signed football memorabilia to a race night organised by Greenock’s Grosvenor Bowling Club
BIG, BIG THANK YOU
Karen asked if we would pass on a BIG, BIG thank you to all the staff and customers from Sinbad’s, every one who contributed in organising events, giving prizes and members of the public for their donations.
If you'd like to say "hello" and leave a general comment,
