Hello Iris, thank you for sharing a wee memory of Innellan from your child hood days, we are all delighted that you have decided to revisit Innellan in September especially as we celebrate HOMECOMING SCOTLAND 2009 to encourage the likes of yourself to re-visit Scotland.
If you look closely at the pictures on the website you will see photographs taken at the Innellan Hall as DCR have been involved in many functions there most recently a Fashion Show reviewed on our home page.
It would really be nice to hear your thoughts on present day Inellan after your visit and even some more memories of you first visit here.

As i am going to visit Innellan in September i thought i would look on the website to see if anything had changed since i was there in the late 40s early 50s and i came upon the article "Raising the roof in innellan church hall" this interested me as that is where we Girl Guides were to spend two weeks,we travelled from Nottingham in the midlands on the overnight train to Glasgow then changed trains to Gourock and transferred onto the Steamer how exciting it was for us guides we then got off at Dunoon and boarded a bus to Innellan we went in the church hall and bales of straw was waiting for us and hessian bags ,we had to fill them up to make mattresses,my word we slept that night,I remember Innellan with fond memories I am 70 now and am looking forward to walking around i expect all my thoughts and memories will be shattered it will have changed so much .Hope you dont mind me writing in this way yours sincerely Iris Clarke
